2/28 Terrace wall to south
and west of
Croft Castle


Terrace wall. Late C18. Coursed rubble. Two stretches of wall at right
angles with quadrant corner, each with two square bastions. Wall approxi-
mately 1.5 metres high with crenellated parapet and battered plinth capped
by a roll moulding. Croft Castle is a property in the care of the National
Trust. (National Trust Guide Book, 1986, pp 13-34).
