5/36 Barn about 30 metres
south-east of
New House Farmhouse


Barn. C17, with some late C19 alterations. Timber-frame on coursed rubble
plinth, partly retaining woven infill and partly weatherboarded, with a
corrugated iron roof. Five framed bays aligned east/west with a central
threshing floor. Small entrance to east end of north wall, probably a
stable. Framing: three square panels high. The gable-end truss has cross-
framing forming decorative lozenges. The roof of the cowhouse (qv) rests
on the west end of this barn.
