5/37 Cowhouse about
25 metres east of
New House Farmhouse


Cowhouse. C17, with some C18 remodelling. Timber-framing, weatherboarded,
and coursed rubble with corrugated iron roof. Probably four framed bays
aligned north/south, with a further open bay at south end connected by the
roof to the barn about 30 metres east of New House Farmhouse (qv). West,
side, partly rebuilt in rubble, has four entrances each with a boarded door
with strap hinges and ventilation slits. Included for group value.
