Pair of cottages, now house. Probably late C17 to C18 with later alterations.
Sandstone rubble plinth and timber-frame with brick nogging, partly finished
in weatherboards and render. Thatched roof and two brick stacks. Rectangular
plan, probably of four or five structural bays, aligned north-east/south-west.
One storey and attic. North elevation has two windows, 2-light mid-C20 steel
casements and weatherboarded surrounds beneath eyebrows. Ground floor has two
similar casements and a 3-light contemporary casement set at a higher level
between them. To the right-hand side is a mid-C20 six-pane window. South
elevation has three entries all with late C20 doors. West gable has rendered
upper zone. Frame is two square panels high from cill to wall-plate. Interior
inaccessible at time of resurvey (April 1986). (RCHM, Vol III, p 21).
