SO 36 NE LINGEN CP -

9/75 Court House Farmhouse

GV II


Farmhouse. Probably C16 to C17 with later alterations. Sandstone rubble
and timber-frame with brick infill. Welsh slate roof. Sandstone and brick
stacks. L-plan with arms to west and south. Two storeys. East elevation
has four windows, 2- and 3-light late C19 or early C20 casements. Early C20
door to left of centre. The left part is rubble; the centre and right timber-
framed with four vertically oriented slender rectangular panels between cill
and wall-plate. Angle strut from cill to right-hand corner post. Nearby the
junction of the two arms is a large stack. Interior noted as having heavy
ceiling beams and large fireplace with cambered oak lintel and sway. (RCHM,
Vol III, p 136-7).
