5/90 Cottage about 70 yards
south of Court House

Cottage. Probably late C17 or C18, with later alterations. Sandstone rubble
and brick with timber-framing and brick infill. Corrugated iron roof. Sand-
stone and brick end stack. Rectangular plan, probably of three bays, aligned
roughly north/south. Two storeys. West elevation has three windows, 2-light
late C20 casements. Ground floor has two similar windows and roughly central
entry under gabled mid-C20 porch. South elevation has been re-built or clad
in late C20 brick. Frame is four, roughly square, panels high from cill to
wall-plate. Interior noted as having heavy chamfered ceiling beams with
straight-cut stops. (RCHM, Vol III, p 192).
