Barn and stable. Mid-C18, with early C20 alterations. Handmade brick and
sandstone rubble with plain tiled hipped roof. Ten bays aligned north/south.
Barn occupies seven southernmost bays and has a central wagon bay and opposed
doorways with cambered heads. Slit ventilation openings, four each side of
doorways and dentilled eaves cornice. There are two large raking buttresses
and a lean-to C20 stable adjoining the east elevation. Stable occupies three
northernmost bays. Partly two levels with dentilled eaves cornice. Main
west elevation has a 2-light ground floor casement with a cambered head-and
a central upper-level round-headed window with a 2-light casement and a barred
segmental light above; there is a central door which has a transom light with
two glazing bars and a cambered head, and a door in the left bay, also with a
cambered head. Interior: roof has intermediate queen-post trusses with lower
raking struts and two tiers of trenched purlins.
