Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17, refaced and remodelled mid-C19;
restored late C20. Timber-framed with rendered infill on tall sandstone
rubble and brick base, partly refaced in brick with slate roof and C19
brick stack to front of ridge. Three bays aligned east/west with external
brick chimney at east end. Three storeys with dentilled eaves cornice.
Framing: exposed at west end and rear. Four rows of square panels from
sill to wall-plate, collar and tie-beam truss at west end with two collars,
four struts to lower collar and two to upper collar. South front elevation:
ground and first floor windows have gauged flat heads and ashlar keyblocks
and are all 16-pane sashes. Three second floor 2-light casements. Main entrance
at west end has a flat ashlar canopy on shaped ashlar brackets, an ashlar
architrave and a C20 door which has a transom light with two glazing bars.
There is a C20 lean-to outshut and two-storey wing at rear.
