Barn, stables and granary. Probably C17, part rebuilt early to mid C19. Part
timber-framed with painted brick infill on brick base, and with some weatherboarding
and brick replacement walling, part painted brick. Slate roofs, hipped to east
range. L-plan. Barn/granary range of roughly eight bays aligned north east/south-
west. North-easternmost bay has through access archways; the inner archway has
a cambered brick head. Two levels. Framing: four rows of square panels from sill
to wall-plate, collar and tie-beam truss with two collars, five struts to lower
collar, three struts to upper collar and V-strut in apex exposed at south-west end.
Main north-west elevation: there is a square window at ground floor level, three
upper level square openings, two large double loft doors and a single loft door.
A single-storey rubble addition adjoins the south-west end. Stable range: three
framed bays plus three large brick bays aligned north-west/south-east. Two levels.
Framing: four panels from sill to wall-plate. Main north-east elevation: framed
part has a square ground floor window, a double doorway, two upper level windows
and a loft door approached by external sandstone steps. The brick part has three
ground floor windows with cambered heads and two upper level windows.
