Farmhouse. C17, extended and refronted mid-C19. Sandstone rubble with
ashlar dressings. Slate two-span roof; front range has gable-end parapets
and end stacks, the left end stack having two diamond shaped brick shafts
and the right end stack having a row of three combined star-shaped brick
shafts. The rear range has a right end stack with a row of three original
star-shaped brick shafts. Two storeys. Three bays. Windows have ashlar
surrounds and hoodmoulds with grotesque head stops (missing,from the lower
left window). There are 16-pane sashes in the outer bays and a first floor
12-pane sash in the central bay. The central entrance has a moulded ashlar
archway with a four-centred head, a four-panelled door and a transom light
with three glazing bars. Interior: some large ceiling beams in original
range.
