house about 45 yards
north-west of Derndale

Barn and stables, the latter now store. Probably late C18 to early C19.
Brick with tiled and corrugated asbestos roof. Nine plus three bays
aligned north-east/south-west with barn to north-east and two-level full-
height stable extension to south-west. South-east elevation has barn to
centre and right-hand side with two rows of alternating ventilation loops.
Two full-height segmentally-headed wagon entries with two-leaved ledged doors,
each one bay in from ends. Stables to left have segmental headed openings and
ledged doors. South-west gable has insurance plaque. Weathervane to apex.
Wagon-entry with cambered head. Nesting ledges and holes above loft opening
which is flanked by a pair of vent loops. Interior has simple-pegged king-
post trusses carrying raking struts to principals.
