Cottage. Probably C18, with later alterations. Sandstone rubble plinth
and timber-frame with brick infill. Tiled roof. Sandstone and brick end
stacks. Rectangular 2½-bay plan aligned east/west. Two storeys. South
elevation has two windows, 2-light mid-C20 casements. Ground floor has a
pair of similar windows, one to each side of contemporary timber-framed
porch with lean-to roof and glazed door. Plinth to left is higher and
returns around west gable, where frame has been extended to western extremity
of sandstone stack. East stack is brick and late C20. Frame is mainly four
square panels high from plinth to wall-plate. Thin studs above higher part
of plinth. Interior noted as having heavy ceiling beams. West fireplace
has dressed sandstone segmental arch with bread oven to side.
