Apple Tree Cottage

GV II

House. Probably late C17 or C18. Sandstone rubble plinth and timber-
frame with brick nogging. Tiled roof and brick stack. Rectangular plan
aligned north-east/south-west. One storey and attic. North-west elevation
has 2:2 windows, gabled early C20 dormers with 2-light glazing bar casements.
Ground floor has five similar windows. Right part is slightly lower than
left. Entry to right of centre has ledged mid-C20 door. Frame is two
panels from cill to wall-plate. Interior inaccessible at time of re-survey (Feb 87).
Roof trusses said to be unmutilated.
