Knight monument about
2 yards north-east of
the north-east corner
of the Church of St Mary

Pedestal tomb. Late C18. Finely cut sandstone. Triangular-plan on large
circular plinth. Moulded base and cornice with low hipped capping. Fluted
pilasters to angles have scrolls at the tops. Inscription for Ursula Knight,
died 1777, and her sister, Barbara, died 1780. Circular plinth has sockets
for former railings.
