Pair of hop kilns and hop room. Possibly early C19. Sandstone rubble
with brick and sandstone dressings. Twin circular plan aligned east/west
with hop room to north. Cellar and two storeys. South elevation has
slightly recessed upper stage with chamfered string at the top. Each kiln
has a pair of round-headed first floor openings with brick arches facing
diagonally outwards and a central square-headed cellar opening. Two squire-
'headed doorways, one to each kiln, facing diagonally inwards. Hop room to
rear has entry from the west. Kilns and hop room roofless at time of re-
survey (February 1987). Photographs it Wormsley Grange (qv) show conical
roofs on hop kilns in 1965. In their roofless condition the hop kilns
resemble a castle.
