4/4 Dovecote about 20 metres
west of Bidney Farmhouse

Dovecote. C17, probably moved early C20. Timber-frame with rendered infill
on a coursed rubble base with a graduated stone tile roof. Two storeys with
sliding door on ground floor on the south side. First floor has a ledged and
boarded door. Roof capped by a louvred glover with a pyramidal roof. Framing
three square panels high with semi-circular cuts out of each side of each panel
Gable-end trusses each have two struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
The ends of the wall-plates are supported by carved brackets. (BoE, p 112).
