6/7 Dovecote about 5 metres
south of the Lower Hurst

Dovecote. C17, with some early C19 and late C20 repairs. Timber-frame
with brick and rendered infill, partially weatherboarded, on a coursed
rubble plinth, under a graduated stone tile roof gabled on all four walls.
Square plan. North front of two storeys with a small shuttered opening to
first floor, door on. ground floor, C20 ledged and boarded with a plank weather-
ing. Roof capped by a weatherboarded glover, gabled in four directions, with a
weather vane. Framing: one rectangular panel high to each floor with straight
tension braces. The Lower Hurst is not included in this list.
