13/18 School House

GV II

House. C17 with some early C19 and late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with
painted brick and rendered infill under a slate roof. Two framed bays aligned
east/west with rubble gable-end stacks with brick shafts. North front (to
schoolyard) of two storeys with two 2-light casements over two 3-light casements.
The west gable facing the street has been refaced in coursed rubble and has a
2-light casement with segmental head to first floor. Entrance in an outshut to
right has a pointed head under a Gothic style gabled canopy. Framing: four
square panels. East gable end has two struts to the collar and V-struts in
the apex.
