GV II

Farmhouse. C14 with C17, early and late C18 alterations and some early C20
repairs. Timber-frame clad in brick with a slate roof. U-plan, hall range
aligned north/south with cross-wings extending to rear (east). West front
of two storeys with gables to the cross-wings. One plus two plus one.windows,
all 2-light casements under segmental heads. On ground floor a similar window
to the left, a canted bay with hipped slate roof and a glazing bar sash to the
front on the hall range and a similar bay window to the right. Entrance to
right of centre has brick gabled porch with a slate roof. The door is half-
glazed beneath a rubbed brick head. Framing visible to rear of south cross-
wing is two square panels high. Interior the south wing is reported to con-
tain the remains of a cusped roof. (RCHM, 3, p 196, no 7).
