House. Early C17, partially clad in brick late C17, restored early C20.
Timber-frame with rendered infill on a coursed rubble plinth partially
clad in brick. T-plan, with cross-wing aligned east/west, other range
to north. Main stack at junction has three brick shafts, the outer two
rusticated, the inner one panelled. The other stack is on east wall of
north range and has two diamond-plan brick shafts. West front of brick,
two storeys with attics. Cross-wing to right has a curvilinear gable con-
taining a 3-light casement with a dentilled brick cornice above. First
floor window is a 4-light casement with brick drip moulding. Ground floor
has a moulded brick string course and a 2-light casement. The range to
the left is of two storeys with attic lit by a 2-light casement in a gable
to left of centre. Two-storey porch to right of centre has a shaped gable.
Two plus one plus one windows, all of three lights, save that in porch of
two lights. Ground floor has a moulded string course. Entrance in left-
hand side of porch with semi-circular arch. The framing is exposed only
in the east elevation, which is close-studded with mid-rail. The first
floor window is of four lights, with ovolo moulded mullions and a moulded
sill on brackets. The timber-framed porch was largley rebuilt in the
early C20. Interior: the south room of the cross-wing has remains of a
plaster ceiling with moulded panels enclosing bands of running foliage
