SO 4461 KINGSLAND CP WEST TOWN

13/62 Showers Cottage

GV II

House. C17, with some late C19 and mid-C20 repairs. Timber-frame with
rendered and painted brick infill on a rubble plinth with machine-tile
roof. Two framed bays aligned north/south, with lean-to against north gable,
and rubble south gable with chimney stack. East front of one storey with
attic lit by two gabled dormers. The ground floor has 3-light casement to
left and a 2-light casement to right, both under plank weatherings. Entrance
slightly to left of centre has gabled tiled porch and a half-glazed door.
Framed lean-to to right has a window with boarded shutter. Framing: four
square panels high. The north gable truss has three struts to collar with
V-struts in the apex and trenched purlins.
