House. Probably C15, extended C17, restored mid-C20. Timber-frame with
brick infill and machine-tile roof. L-plan, limbs extending to south-west
and north-west. The latter of two short bays with cruck truss, the former
of three bays. Axial-stack in centre of north-west wing with rubble shaft,
lateral stack to north-west wall of other range with brick shaft. North-east
front has gabled main range to left of two storeys with a 2-light C20 casement
to each floor. Range to right of one storey with attic lit by a gabled dormer.
Ground floor has two 2-light C20 casements. Framing: three square panels high
to short wing, other range four square panels high with straight angle braces.
The gable-end truss has three struts to the collar, V-struts in the apex and
trenched purlins. (RCHM, 3, p 85, no 60).
