SO 4967 ORLETON CP CHURCH LANE (south side)

10/89 Church Yard Cottage

GV II

House. Late C17 with some mid-C19 alterations. Timber-frame with painted
brick infill on a rubble plinth under a corrugated iron roof. Three framed
bays aligned north/south with external rubble stack to north gable. West
(garden) front of one storey with attic lit by a gabled dormer. Three
windows, the outer two are 2-light casements, the other a fixed casement.
Entrance to left of centre has a ledged and boarded door. Framing: three
square panels high. North gable truss has two struts to the collar and
trenched purlins. (RCHM, 3, p 158, no 12).
