Farmhouse. Early C17, extended late C17 to early C18 with some late C20
restoration. Timber-frame with rendered infill extended in brick with
stone dressings, all under a tile roof. L-plan, with C17 range to west,
C18 range to north. External chimney stack to north gable-and integral in
east front wall. East front of two storeys with ashlar quoins. Four windows,
all 2-light casements under rubbed brick heads. The surrounds of each window
are picked out in a redder brick. Entrance to left of centre approached by
four steps has a rubbed brick head, an overlight and a 6-panelled door.
Entrance in south wall has semi-circular plan stone steps with seven risers.
Jettied cross-wing to west end of rear range with bressummer on scroll
brackets. First floor four square panels high, the gable above having three
struts to collar and trenched purlins. Interior has exposed chamfered and
stopped ceiling beams in west wing. North range has window shutters with
raised and fielded panels. Entrance hall has a corner cupboard with shell
canopy inside. Staircase early C18 with turned balusters and moulded hand
