Shown on OS map as Castle Cottage.
House. Circa 1700 with late C20 alterations. Timber-framed with rendered
infill, some rendered refacing and painted course sandstone rubble walling
with machine-tiled roof and brick ridge stack. Probably three framed bays
aligned north/south with chimney between south end and central bays Two
storeys. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate. No trusses visible
externally. Windows are all C20 casements. East front elevationt there are
two single-light windows and a 3-light window on the ground floor and three
2-light casements on the first floor. Main entrance in northernmost bay
has a glazed C20 door. Lean-to outshut at south end with half-glazed C20
door in front elevation. Included for group value.
