House and adjoining outbuilding. C16 (but possibly of earlier origins).
Mid-C19 and C20 alterations. C17 outbuilding. Timber-framed with painted
brick infill on sandstone rubble plinth, Welsh slate roof. Two bays aligned
east/west with cross-wing to east; axial stack with two tall roughcast diagonal
plan shafts. Two storeys with upper floor jettied on three sides; moulded
bressummer with curved brackets springing from shafted wall-posts. Two 2-
light casement windows and a pair of 3-light casement windows on ground floor;
canted bay window to left of projecting gabled porch with 4-panelled door,
canted bay to right. Gable end of cross-wing to right with 3-light casement
window, later lean-to with 3-light C20 window and 6-panelled door to right.
Outbuilding is attached to rear of two bays and has raised roof-line with
lozenge framing in gable. (RCHM, Vol III, p 165, item 16).
