GV II

House. C17, largely altered during late C19. Square panelled timber-framing
with painted brick infill, part brick refacing, sandstone rubble plinth and
stacks with brick shafts, Welsh slate roof. L-plan with wings aligned east/
west and north/south, axial stacks, entrance in north gable end (to street).
Two storeys, return of wing to left with one 16-pane glazing bar sash window
to ground floor, gable end of cross-wing to right with one 2-light and one
3-light casement window, recessed doorway in brick refacing to ground floor
with panelled returns, moulded surround and 6-panelled door with overlight,
3-light casement window to right. (RCHM, Vol III, p 166, item 40).
