1/18 Wingles Cross

Cottage. Probably late C17 to C18 with later alterations. Sandstone rubble
plinth and timber-frame with plaster infill. Tile roof and two brick end
stacks. Two bays aligned north-east/south-west. One storey and attic.
South-east elevation has gabled dormer with 2-light early C20 casements,
one to each side of ledged early C20 door. Blocked opening beneath eaves
to left-hand side. Left-hand gable is sandstone rubble, the right is timber-
framed. Frame is three square panels high from cill to wall-plate. Four
angle struts from intermediate and corner posts to wall-plate. Attached to
rear is timber-framed single-storey lean-to. Interior not inspected.
