2/32 Barn about 45 yards
west of Clarkes Field

Barn. Probably C18 with earlier origins. Sandstone rubble and timber-frame
with brick infill, weatherboards and corrugated iron roof. Rectangular plan
of three plus two bays, aligned north-north-west/south-south-east. West
elevation has weatherboarding to centre and right with brick infill and sand-
stone rubble to left. Small ledged door with strap hinges beneath tollet to
left. Opposed ledged doors to full-height entry to right of centre. East
elevation has two lean-to projections, one to either side of wagon entry.
Interior has raking struts from ties to principals in the trusses flanking
the threshing floor. The remaining trusses have vertical posts from ties to
collar. Wind-braces. Frame beneath weatherboarding is two panels high from
cill to wall-plate, the lower panel being rectangular; the upper square.
Clarkes Field is not included in this list.
