Outbuilding about 8 yards south-west of White Rails

Smithy, now store. Probably C18. Sandstone rubble plinth and timber-frame
with brick infill. Half-hipped sandstone slate roof. Rectangular two-bay
plan aligned north/south. One storey. East elevation has a pair of shuttered
openings, one to each side of ledged two-leaved doors. Frame is two square
panels high from plinth to wall-plate with angle struts from corner posts to
ties and wall-plates: Included for group value. White Rails is not included
in this list. (RCHM, Vol III, p 7).
