Farmhouse. C16 with C17 additions, further late C18 additions. Timber-
framed with painted brick infill, sandstone rubble plinth and stacks with
decorative diagonal plan brick shafts, tiled roofs. T-shaped plan with
cross-wing to east, later additions to rear, main entrance to south, axial
and gable-end stacks. Two storeys with single storey to kitchen end to
west. South front: two 3-light casement windows, single light to left of
3-light glazing bar casement window, lean-to porch to right with partly
glazed door. Gable end of cross-wing to right with shaped bargeboard
and 3-light casement windows. Interior reveals good steeply chamfered
cross-beamed ceilings in two ground floor rooms. Large open fireplace.
