II
Farmhouse. C17, with late C19 additions and alterations. Timber-framed
with brick infill, sandstone rubble plinth and stacks, brick later additions
and part refacing, brick shafts to stacks. Irregular L-shaped plan with
wing aligned east/west and cross-wing at east end, gable-end and axial
stacks, entrance to south front. Single storey and attic. Section to west
with two storeys and attics to east. South front: catslide roof to lower
section to left, 2-light casement window to first floor of main house,
single-light casement window to ground floor to left of projecting bay
window, brick gable-end of cross-wing to right with plain sash window,
gabled porch to ground floor with six-panelled door. Chamfered ceiling
beams to the interior with ogee stops.
