about 30 yards north-
east of Upper Bridge

Barn and stable. C18. Rubble walling with some weatherboarded timber-
framing and with stone tiled roof laid in diminishing courses. Four bays
aligned roughly north/south. Barn occupies three northernmost bays and has
a central wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors. There are
ventilation slits in the rubble part of the walls. Stable at south end has
a loft opening and stable door in its main west elevation. Interior: wall-
framing has one row of panels beneath eaves level and short straight braces
across the lower corners. The barn roof has two intermediate arch-braced
tie-beam trusses with raking struts and there is also an intermediate collar
and tie-beam truss with three struts and a V-strut above the collar at the
partition between barn and stable; two tiers of trenched purlins.
