Barn and shelter shed
about 50 yards north-west
of Upper House Farmhouse

Barn and shelter shed. Probably C17, altered mid-C19. Timber-framed and
weatherboarded on rubble base with corrugated iron roof. Four framed bays
aligned north/south; wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors
situated in second bay from north end. Interior: wall-framing has four
panels from sill to wall-plate. Roof has collar and tie-beam trusses with
struts at each end and intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts.
The shelter shed adjoins to the south-east. Rubble with stone-tiled roof
laid in diminishing courses. Five bays. Open on north side with roof
supported on timber posts. There are intermediate king-post roof trusses.
