House. Probably C16, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Timber-framed with
painted brick infill on painted rubble base, some painted rubble walling
and weatherboarding and machine-tiled roof with rendered ridge stack.
Four bays aligned north-east/south-west. Single storey and attic with
dormers. Framing: two and three panels from sill to wall-plate, collar.and
tie-beam truss partly exposed at south-west end. South-east front elevation:
on the ground floor is a 2-light and a 3-light casement, both with plank
weatherings and also a single-light casement. There are two raking-top dormers
with 2-light casements and also a skylight. Main entrance at left end has a
lean-to canopy (an extension of the roof) and a C20 door. The north-east end
bay is built largely of rubble and may be a former byre; it has a ventilation
slit in the front elevation. Outshut with half-hipped roof adjoins south-west
