Farmhouse and adjoining outbuilding. C17, with mid-C19 alterations. Painted
rubble with some brick walling. Plain tiled roof with brick ridge stack at
north-east end. Two bays aligned north-east/south-west; external rendered
rubble chimney with two diagonal rubble stacks heightened in brick situated
at south-west end. Two storeys. Windows are C19 casements. North-west front
elevation: there is a small 2-light and a large 3-light window on the ground
floor and a small 2-light window on the first floor. Partly glazed door to
rear of chimney. Main entrance on south-west side of rear wing and has a lean-
to C20 porch and partly glazed door. Outbuilding adjoins north-east end.
Timber-framed and weatherboarded on tall rubble base with corrugated iron roof.
Two framed bays. Triangular ventilation holes in base. Ledged and battened
door in north-west elevation. Interior: wall-framing has two tiers of panels
fromsill to wall-plate. There is an intermediate collar and tie-beam truss
with two struts beneath the collar and raking struts across the lower corners.
