Farmhouse and adjoining outbuilding. Mid-C18 with mid- to late C19 alterations
and additions. Finely jointed brick and plain tiled roof with end stacks.
Three storeys with dentilled eaves cornice. Three bays. Ground and first
floor windows have cambered heads. Outer bays have 3-light casements. The
central bay has a blind first floor window and a rectangular second floor
window. The central entrance has a cambered head and a ledged and battened
door. Outbuilding adjoins to rear right. Part rubble, part timber-framed
with painted brick infill and replacement walling, part brick with plain
tiled roof and brick ridge stack. Roughly six bays with central chimney and
circular bread oven on north side. Single storey. Framing: three panels from
sill to wall-plate with some long straight lower corner braces. No trusses
visible. Lean-to with catslide roof runs along most of north side with five
goose pens. Granary and hop kiln at east end. Granary of two bays and two
levels with external steps to loft door on north side. Hop kiln has gabled
roof.
