3/97 Kyrewood Mill

Corn mill on Kyre Brook. Mid-C18, altered mid-C19. Coursed rubble with
brick dressings and alterations and plain tiled roof. Rectangular two-
bay plan aligned east/west. Two storeys and attic. Main west end elevation:
there is a ground floor level and first floor level window with cambered
heads, an attic storey window with a four-centred arched head and a central
doorway with a cambered head. Undershot wheel situated on south side.
Main entrance in east gable end with datestone in gable above inscribed
"18??" (date of C19 restoration and repairs). All machinery survives inside
(including all the gearing, the bolter and a pair of grindstones).
