Farmhouse. C16 or earlier with early 619 and mid-C19 alterations. Part
timber-framed with rendered and painted brick infill, brick replacement
walling and refacing, part brick; slate roof with west end brick stack and
rubble chimney with diagonally-set brick stack to east of centre. Three main
bays and through-passage bay with inserted chimney forming lobby entrance
aligned east/west; external rubble chimney with offsets and diagonally-set
detached brick stack at east end. Two storeys. Framing: some wall-framing
visible to north-east. Main south elevation: central main bay is gabled and
has a parapet with kneelers. All window openings and entrance have a hoodmould
with returns. Both storeys have a 2-light, a 3-light and a multi-paned single-
light window. The entrance in the chimney bay has a four-centred archway
beneath a square head with glazed spandrels and double doors. Interior:
internal wall-framing partly exposed including large swept upper corner bracing
at east end.
