Shown on OS sheet as Workhouse Cottages.
Two cottages. Original cottage C17, extended in C19. Part timber-framed
with painted brick infill, part brick with tiled roof. 2 plus 2 structural
bays, with external stacks at gable ends and large external chimney to
rear of timber-framed cottage with stack removed. Single storey and attic
with dormers. C17 cottage has 2 ground floor casements and a gabled dormer
with casement to left bay with planked door beneath; C19 cottage has moulded
brick course at eaves, 2 ground floor casements with cambered heads, 2 gabled
dormers with casements and a central doorway with gabled porch and planked
door. Brick outshut to rear of both cottages. Interior: stop chamfered
beams to C17 cottage.
