2 cottages, now one. Probably late C17 or early C18 extended to rear in
mid-C20. Timber-frame, painted brick infill panels, ground floor right
hand zone designed as or underpinned in stone, tiled roof, 2 local type
stone end chimneys with detached brick shafts, that to right has external
bake oven roofed in tiles forming depressed cone-like shape adjacent to
stack. One storey and attic, 3 bays, C19 and C20 casements, 2 C20
raking topped dormers, opposed C20 doors to middle bay: that to rear
via c1970 glazed porch. 3 panels from cill to eaves. Thatched until
c1974. Forms close group with No 1 Barton Cottages and Broadleigh (qv).
