1/126 Tything House



Cottage. Probably late C18 - early C19. Timber-framed, regular brick
infill panels, slate roof, local type external stack with oven and detached
brick shaft to right. One storey and attic, 2 bays. Road front has only
one window: an attic dormer probably early C20 in a timber-framed gable
containing a pair of cross casements. Framing is very thin and wavy; narrow
tension brace from cill of road front to right hand corner posts; gable
queen struts. Entrance to garden front.
