House, formerly with smithy (now incorporated). Late C17/early C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered infill on high brick plinth and painted brick; slate roof, brick stacks. Two storeys, upper storey raised in framing in C19; irregular fenestration, mainly C19 casements; framing: two structural bays with straight tension braces partly cut away; C19 wing of painted brick projects forwards at right, the presumed former smithy with stack between it and timber-frame. Substantial brick stack (partially rendered), with detached shaft, to left gable.
