House, now 2 houses. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame with
brick infill, rubble outshut at rear; hipped plain tile roof, brick stack
to left gable, also brick stack towards right. L-plan originally, 3 rooms
to front range, one in limb of L. 2 storeys, 3 ranges of windows, mostly
C19 casements. Entrance to no 18 at right, no 16 in rear of building.
Framing: 3 structural bays of square panelling, mostly replaced on ground
floor externally in brick. Interior: chamfered and stopped beams; roof:
mixture of queen strut to collar and raking strut trusses, with trenched
purlins.
