2/58 Two barns about 50 metres
west of hill Farmhouse


Two barns. C17 with C19 alterations. Timber-frame on rubble plinth, part
weatherboarded, plain tile roof. L-plan. North west barn: about 9 structural
bays of square panelled framing with some wattle-and-daub infill on rubble
ground floor and lower 2-bay extension to right. South west Barn: 6 structural
bays of square panelled framing with brick infill, and 2 sets of opposed cart
doors. Both ranges have similar trusses, filled with intersecting raking struts.
