2/60 The Knoll



Cottage. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick
infill, plain tile roof, detached brick shaft on rubble stack with oven to
right gable. 2 storeys, 2 structural bays, irregular fenestration; mainly
C20 casements; gabled brick porch to left; 1½ storey timber-framed bay to left
of main structure with straight tension braces; rear: C18 wing of brick with
small scantling timberwork. Framing: square panels 4 high to wall-plate.
