2/60 Barn and stable block
about 20 yards south
of Pound Farmhouse


Barn. Mid-C19. Timber-framed, weatherboarded, brick plinth, corrugated iron
roof. Four framed bays; second bay from east gable end is a wagon bay
having opposed, square-headed cart entries. Large rectangular panels with
long, straight braces at lower corners. Stable doors in both north and
south elevations to west end bay. Interior: queen strut trusses and primarily
double, trenched purlins with some straight wind-braces. West end bay is
floored. A brick stable block adjoins west gable end. Included for group
value only.
