SO 85 NW GRIMLEY CP WORLDS END

Cottage. C17 with C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed, painted
brick infill, painted brick refacing, tiled roof, formerly thatched.
External brick chimney with rebuilt stack at left gable end. Two framed
bays. Single storey and attic with dormer. Framing partly visible at
rear; relatively large panels, 2 from sill to wall-plate and truss just
visible in left gable end, probably queen strut type. Front elevation:
6-pane sash with cambered head to left and central doorway with cambered
head and C20 door to left bay; right bay has a ground floor small rectangular
light and an eyebrow dormer at eaves level with casement. Interior not
inspected. A timber-framed single storey wing with hipped tiled roof adjoins
left gable end, encasing external chimney stack.
