SO 85 NW HALLOW CP CHURCH LANE

Cottage. C17; C19 additions and C20 alterations. Part timber-framed with
painted brick infill, part brick; tiled roof with scalloped bargeboards,
brick ridge stack to left of centre and also brick stack to front right
roof slope. Two framed bays with central through-passage plus a brick unit
to left. Single storey and attic with dormers. Square framing, 3 panels
from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in lower corners, queen strut
truss with double collar and 'V'-struts at apex, exposed in right gable end.
Front elevation Irregular fenestration: 2 ground floor casements, gabled
dormer with scalloped bargeboards and casement above central doorway with
gabled roof, wrought iron porch, planked and battened C20 door and narrow,
rectangular side light. Interior Single, trenched purlins; small planked
door retained to left of through-passage; main beams are stop-chamfered.
C20 extensions to rear.
