C18 front to C17 timber-framed building. Painted brick front with brick pilasters
at either end and dentil blocks below eaves. Tiled gable ended roof. 3 storeys.
5 windows, left-hand end splayed back slightly. 3 light wood mullion/transom casements
with cambered heads. Wide carriage entrance on left. 2 large mid C19 shop fronts
with fluted pilasters, fascia and wide cornice. West return and east gable have
exposed timber-framing.

Nos 7 to 15 (odd), Lanark House, The Steppes, No 19 and stables west of No 19
form a group.
